Taiwan General Sued Lifetime Punishment

Taipei - Taiwan's military prosecutor on Friday (20 / 5) said they had demanded a life sentence against the country's two-star general who drugged money and sex women who do the spying for China. This is the worst espionage cases in the country.

Major-General Lo Hsien-che, a former head of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Taiwan Armed Forces, on Thursday (19 / 5) was charged with leaking state secrets to China.

"Lo recruited and used Chinese Communists engaged in espionage activities and jeopardize the interests of national security," said military prosecutor Tiawan.

State prosecutors said they were demanding Lo sentenced to life imprisonment for creating a deterrent effect, but does not specifically mention a secret kind of intelligence that he had leaked to China and how much money he has collected.

According to Taiwan media, Lo who was arrested last February after allegedly caught in a love affair with Chinese spies in Thailand between 2002 and 2005.

Lo is now 51 years old reported to have collected classified information to Chinese spies in 2004. In return he gets about 1 million dollars from China. Still, Lo's career continues rising up to his rank rose to major general in 2008.

Taiwan and China has been stalking each other since the separation of the two in 1949 when civil war between communist and nationalist stronghold in China ended. A civil war was won by the communist and nationalist faction withdrew to Taiwan and set up their own state. But for China, Taiwan was still part of its territory and the wait time for reunification, if necessary with the deployment of troops.

A local agent who has resigned recently warned that at least 10 Chinese spies believed to have infiltrated into Taiwan's security units.
