Car bomb the U.S. Consulate Attacked

PESHAWAR - bulletproof car belonging consulate United States (U.S.) hit by a blast. No U.S. citizens were killed in the incident that took place in Peshawar, Pakistan.

As a result of the attack, one person was reported killed while 11 people were wounded including two foreign officials.

"Two cars belonging to the U.S. Consulate was walking towards the consulate's office when the bomb exploded," said U.S. Embassy spokesman, Alberto Rodrigues told Reuters on Friday (05/20/2011).

"Only one car hit by an explosion, the car was there from the U.S. diplomat and a Pakistani citizen driver," he continued.

The explosion occurred on the highway Peshawar and caused a man who was riding a motorcycle were killed in the blast.

Meanwhile, two foreign officials who had minor injuries, immediately rushed to the hospital.

Violence in Pakistan increased when Al Qaeda and Pakistani Taliban groups threaten revenge for the death of Osama bin Laden in his town, including two suicide bombings that killed 80 people, most of them paramilitary troops.
