Death Penalty For Gay criticized Australia

SYDNEY - The list of countries protesting the government's policy of banning homosexuals Uganda is now growing with support from Australia.

Australia strongly rejected legislation that would make Uganda, the anti-homosexuality that would impose penalties on the perpetrators up to the death penalty.

Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd, said Australia is a country that played host to a gay parade and celebration in the world, has sent a protest to the Ugandan High Commission in Canberra.

"We have sent a protest to the government of Uganda on the draft law," Mr Rudd said as reported by the Straits Times, Friday (13/05/2011).

"Australia has become a global advocate for the support of discrimination against sexual orientation and will continue to fight until the United Nations to ask the entire government to stop such discrimination," he continued.

The draft bill was originally filed in 2009 and criticized by Australia which eventually led to the international world condemned it, including the United States (U.S.) who regard it as something disgusting.

If later the law was passed, gay actors who committed rape or one partner can cause the HIV virus, it will be put to death.
