368 British soldiers killed in Afghanistan

LONDON - Some defense officials in London said the two British soldiers killed again, due to a homemade bomb as they patrolled in southern Afghanistan on Saturday (28/05/2011).

"The two Marines were patrolling the kingdom, which disrupt insurgent activity, when they were killed by an explosion caused by a homemade bomb (IED)."

Their next of kin have been notified, the defense ministry said. It makes 368 the number of deaths of British soldiers who have died since operations in Afghanistan that began in October 2001.

Britain has 9,500 troops in Afghanistan, making it the second largest contributor after the United States in the US-led coalition.
