Denmark navy Somali Pirates Release Prisoners

Mogadishu - Danish warships Somali pirates attacked the ship and succeeded in killing four pirates. 16 Iranians who had taken hostage freed in this incident.

In addition to the four people killed by pirates, other pirates reportedly 10 people were wounded during a shootout between the Danish ships and aircraft carriers Esbern Snare pirates.

"16 hostages waiting to meet with his family. None of the crew were injured Esbern Snare. Moreover all the hostages were reportedly good condition," according to the Danish Navy Commander Kenneth Nielsen told AFP on Monday (5/16/2011).

Nielsen added, during a patrol in the vicinity of the Somali Coast last Thursday, May 12, Esbern Snare carriers approached by pirates. "When Esbern Snare try to stop the ship by using a loudspeaker, all of a sudden there was a shooting," said Nielsen.

Although the ship is controlled by the Danish military, the pirates are still trying for the crew hostage and demanding ransom paid.

Shortly thereafter, the pirates of weapons were thrown overboard. This is a sign of surrender of the pirates are Somali. Esbern Snare finally managed to master the pirate ship in full.

In general, naval ships under the command of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) targeting carriers that have been seized by pirates and used to attack. Around early April, 10 ships have been invaded by pirates and sunk NATO AL.
