Obama started his visit to Europe for a week

United States President Barack Obama started his visit to Europe for a week on Sunday night, May 22, 2011. Obama is scheduled to visit four European countries and attend the G8 meeting and a meeting with leaders of Russia and Japan.

Reporting from the page the Associated Press, the countries to be visited Obama is Irish, English, French and Polish. On the eighth visit to Europe, Obama will reaffirm the U.S. alliance with the Western coalition countries. Obama also will speak about the turmoil in the Middle East and North Africa, and the still ongoing war in Afghanistan.

Western role in maintaining stability and democracy in the Arab world without interfering in domestic affairs of other countries will also be discussed during Obama's visit. In addition, Obama also would raise the issue of European finance currently being suffered crises that some countries had to implement cost saving measure.

Obama's first destination country is Ireland. Here he will be taking the time to visit Moneygall, a small village which is the birthplace of Obama's ancestors from his mother's side. His visit this time also to dismiss the various allegations that Obama is not a U.S. citizen. According to records, Obama's ancestors were citizens of Irish exodus to the U.S. along with thousands of other citizens.

After visiting Ireland, Obama and his wife, Michelle, will visit Britain for two days. In the UK Obama will stay at Buckingham Palace and the royal family get-class service. On Wednesday, May 25, 2011, Obama will become U.S. president gave a speech before members of the British parliament at Westminster. Obama reportedly will discuss the West's role in peace in Afghanistan and Libya, as well as the global economy.

After that, Obama is scheduled to visit France to attend the G8 summit. At this meeting, Obama will urge the World Bank and IMF to assist the recovery process of Egypt and Tunisia.

On the sidelines of the G8 meeting, Obama was scheduled to meet with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister of Japan Naoto Kan.

In Russia, Obama will discuss security issues that have been made between the two countries at odds. Meanwhile, with Japan, Obama will convey condolences directly above the tsunami that occurred in Japan.

Finally, Obama will visit Poland to discuss economic cooperation and security.
