Venezuela prison riot, 3 killed

GUATIRE - Riots accompanied by a fire broke out at a prison in Venezula. Three people were reportedly killed and 18 others injured. The unrest was the forerunner of the fire.

These riots have occurred during the three days in Prison Rodeo I. Until now, the sound of gunfire was still heard in the prison. Local officials did not explain more about the death toll could rise. So reported the Associated Press on Monday (6/20/2011).

Deputy Justice Minister Nestor Reverol Venezuela, said the fire occurred due to short-circuit. The prisoners were immediately evacuated from the prison filled with fire.
