Microsoft Officially annexed Social Networking Yammer

Microsoft officially acquired the business social networking site Yammer on Monday (6/25/2012). In order to get Yammer, Microsoft is willing to spend 1.2 billion dollars or about Rp 10.8 trillion.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said Microsoft's acquisition of Yammer's commitment to offer the technology in the business requirements and can be nice people.

"Yammer adds best-in-class service corporate social networking in Microsoft's portfolio, to complement the growth of cloud services (cloud)," Ballmer said.

Yammer is expected to strengthen the office
application Microsoft Office. Microsoft will include Yammer as they offer a product for Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics, and Skype.

Microsoft will inherit 5 million Yammer users in more than 200 thousand companies. Yammer has been used by employees to make an appointment meeting, share files in the cloud (cloud), and other office activities.

Yammer was founded in San Francisco in 2008 by David Sacks, a former chief operating officer of PayPal. Yammer has raised more than 140 million U.S. dollars from investors, among both the Charles River Ventures Inc. and Emergence Capital Partners.
