Google Acquisition of Meebo to Rp 900 billion

Today, Google's social networking service called Google + can indeed still inferior to its competitors, namely Facebook. + To strengthen Google, Google acquired Meebo.

Meebo itself is a web-based instant messaging application. Meebo also has other products in the form of Meebo Bar, similar with the social plugins that can add to your blog or website.

No different functions with Google Talk, Meebo service is one of the chat application. However, applications can directly integrate Meebo instant messaging services such as Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, AIM, MySpaceIM, Facebook Messenger even within a single application.

Initially, the acquisition by Google is not explained clearly. Google spokesman Meebo CEO Seth Sternberg and had also refused to comment related to the acquisition.

But in the official Meebo blog explains that Google has purchased the company from Mountain View startup is. Reportedly, Meebo purchase transaction value reached 100 million U.S. dollars reached Rp 943 billion.

Just for the record, in 2010, the value of assets is predicted Meebo reaches 25 million U.S. dollars. Currently, Meebo Mashable called asset value has reached 62.5 million U.S. dollars. Thus considered reasonable if the acquisition Meebo currently reaches 100 million U.S. dollars.
