Trinity, the Second Generation AMD Processors

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), launched the second generation A-series, codenamed 'Trinity'.

"AMD-A series of our second generation is a major step forward in every performance and power that enables users to enjoy an amazing experience without having to worry," said AMD Vice President of Corporate Business Unit, Chirs Cloran, in a press release published in the official website of AMD.

Second-generation product battery Accelerated Processing Units (APUs) that is claimed to last up to 12 hours with twice the performance per watt is higher than the previous AMD processors APU, Llano Chips.

Trinity is intended for a variety of electronic devices such as thin notebook, a conventional desktop computer and All-in-One, a home entertainment computers, and other integrated appliances.

AMD claims the product features measuring 32 nanometers (nm) that include increased performance Central Processing Unit (CPU) to 29 percent of which can increase the CPU frequency up to 3.2 Gigahertz (GHz).

Two models of AMD-A series aimed at second-generation thin-sized notebook, A10 and A6-4655M-4455M, electric consumption by 25 watts and 17 watts.

"Trinity is a product that combines graphics performance and power consumption, but Intel is still superior because it has a larger ecosystem of devices," said the expert processors of firm Gartner, Sergis Mushell, Trinity refers to a competitor of Intel, Ivy Bridge, as quoted by BBC Technology.
