Victims Killed 16 People

A small plane owned airline Linhas Aereas Brasil Noar crashed about 10 minutes at take-off towards the town of Christmas on Wednesday (07/13/2011) morning local time. Natal is the capital and main city area Rio Grande do Norte, in eastern Brazil.

"Information rescuers at the scene near the city of Recife showed 16 people on board were killed," said Fire Department spokesman Recife.

Meanwhile, according to AFP news, citing the administration of local airlines, the accident began with a report from the pilot's emergency conditions. "The pilot said he would make an emergency landing near the shore before the accident occurred," the agency said.

Until now, investigations and evacuation of the bodies of the victims is underway.
